Why Is My TV Screen Zoomed In? A button on one of the remote controls may have been pressed by mistake. The TV remote has buttons that when pressed by mistake will cause the “Picture Size” problem. This can also happen when using a CABLE or SAT remote and pressing a button by mistake.

The cutoff of the screen is due to something called "overscan". While most TV's will automatically fit the input image to your screen, some TV's may cut off a little part of the screen - about 2-5% - and stretch the remaining image to fit the screen. The solution for overscan will vary depending on your TV. How do you Unzoom a picture on a Samsung TV?

Go to your desktop (Windows Key + D), right click your desktop background and select 'Display settings'. You will see a bar that says 'Change the size of text, app and other items: 125%' or something to that effect. Move the slider left until it says 100% then hit apply. You will need to log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.

Experience: Low voltage electrical enginering, field electronics trouble shooting, installation and service. Verified. You could check to see if you have either the TV or the DVD player in zoom mode. You would need to go in the picture settings of your television, and also check the setup menu of your DVD player.

Why is my TV zoomed in? I use a Hauppauge Xbox One tv tuner for my antenna and for some reason the tv images are all are zoomed in. My xbox dashboard looks normal, so do the games and movies. Its only when I watch TV. I have already found the TV size options on my tv remote but that only confirmed that it wasnt the problem.

Your second monitor may show zoomed-in resolution if its settings (like Overscan) are not properly configured. Moreover, outdated/corrupt installation of the graphics driver may also cause the error at hand. The issue arises when the 2 nd monitor of the user’s system shows the zoomed-in resolution.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is William. I'm a Microsoft Windows Certified Professional and Systems Administrator. I'll be happy to help you out today. Sounds like your scaling settings are set too large. Right-click on an empty portion of the Desktop > select Display settings > under Scale and layout, confirm you are at 100%.

I have seen this with another user but it was zoomed in and shifted. To fix it, I went to to the settings > video and chose HD mode. That centered the image. I am not sure if it’s a driver or hardware issue yet.
